As we conclude our series in Paul’s letter to the Corinthian church, we are reminded of the certain Christian hope of resurrection. We have this hope because of Jesus’ resurrection.

In this chapter Paul speaks about the importance of clarity and order as God’s people gather together. This serves the benefit of those present as well as outsiders who may visit.

As Paul continues to write about Christians gathering together he outlines that God gives spiritual gifts to his people for the unity of the church, which must be used in love for one another.
1 Corinthians 11:1-34
Paul directs his attention to the practices of the Corinthian Christians as they gather together as God’s people. We learn important lessons about our attitude towards church.
1 Corinthians 8:1-13 & 10:23-33
This part of Paul’s letter helps us understand Christian freedom – specifically, what we are free to do, versus what we might willingly give up for the sake of others and their faith in Jesus.
